AB Annoucements

Two plugs to make for AB today. First off, AB needs your help! Quoting directly from Meastro:

AnimeBlogger.net has always been supportive of new writers all over the world to establish their blog for free. As we continue to expand and include new bloggers to the anime blogosphere, we have reached a point where advertising dollars are not enough to pay for the hosting services.

Hence, we have decided to appeal for donations to cover the taxes and hosting fees of AnimeBlogger.net. The first goal is to raise US$1600 to cover three months of hosting and the taxes applicable to AnimeBlogger.net. When we have secured that amount, we are looking into adding another server in order to accommodate more writers, which is where the second goal comes in. If we reach our second goal of US$2200, we’ll be able to add another server.

If you are wondering how you can donate to us, there are various ways. First, you can directly donate to the site via Amazon or Paypal from our donations page. Second, you can buy AnimeBlogger.net merchandise. As an incentive to those who donate, everyone who donates more than $5 will be entered to win a prize. Currently we have a sponsor that’s paying for two AnimeBlogger.net shirts for winners. You can also contribute any anime-related items as prizes for the lucky draw.

AnimeBlogger.net needs your help. Everyone is integral to the support of AnimeBlogger.net. Every little bit counts to hit our target, be it $1 or $100. You will make a difference. Thank you and please continue to explore our anime blogging community!

Secondly, A new initiative from AB. An anime blogging award has been establish by AB to recognise the efforts of those in this rapidly expanding community of anime bloggers. With many awards available, ranging from Best Rookie blogger to the Most influential blog. If you’ve found an anime blog that you reckon is well deserving of one such award, don’t hesitate to nominate or vote for your favourite bloggers out there. For more, please visit The Anime Blog Awards website.

ARIA: First Impressions

A Slice-of-life series that I recently picked up. It’s one of the slow moving series that I’ve picked up so far. Most of the anime I’ve watched in the past. The pace is relaxing and steady. While slow compared to the normal anime I watch, it’s a steady pace, where things unfold accordingly and not too overwhelmingly. This is Season 1 of Aria release in 2005. January 8th is when season 3 of ARIA begins. Continue Reading »

Bleach fillers?!

Bleach Fillers?!

I don’t know about anyone else, but personally I think I’ve lost interest in BLEACH over the pass 6 months or so. Perhaps it’s seen its time, or perhaps the damn fillers that keep popping up annoy me. What happened to the good old days when BLEACH was the best show to grace my weekly anime marathon. Now a days I’ve about 10 episodes behind, and every time I watch it, it’ll make some progression, but then fall into random fillers, which just make the show crap.

I haven’t read the manga in a while, so I hope there’s progression in there. The part where I stopped involved a massive load of fighting, and the Ichigo crew was still trying to save Inoue in Hueco Mundo. I’ve got about 15 or so chapters before I’m caught up.

Regardless, I hope BLEACH anime will pick up soon and won’t feel like a drag.

Naruto Cosplay

Just thought I share some Awesome Naruto cosplay found on this blog post. I’ve lost touch with Naruto for a while since I’m having a bit of trouble finding the manga and the Anime has stopped for a few weeks now. At the moment I’m watching this relaly funny Korean drama called Witch Yoo Hee.

Lovely Complex Live action movie

Without previously reading any reviews for it, I didn’t quite know what to expect from the live action version of LoveCom. I’ve come to really love the anime and the story.I’m disappointed to say the live action wasn’t as good as I expected. I’d give it a 6.5/10 rating.

The comedy just wasn’t as good. And I thought the characters wasn’t played out as well as it could have been. Mighty Sensei was just so wrong and annoying :P Perhaps I just had too high hopes for it after lovin’ Lovely Complex anime so much.
